Feeling good is not just a matter of faith!

There are places that should always be included in one's evening prayers - this is one of them: the hamlet Unsere liebe Frau im Walde [Our Dear Lady of the Forest] (1,342 m), a picture-perfect place of pilgrimage know throughout Tyrol, situated just two kilometres on the other side of the Gampen pass. It is probably the oldest settlement in the Deutschnonsberg region; as early as 1194 a monastery ran a small hospice for travellers crossing the Gampen pass.


Besides the carved baroque altars, on the magnificent high altar the Gothic church, which received its current form in the 15th century, you can admire a glazed rococo shrine with a picture of Mary with her child – on Sundays and holidays the destination of many believers from near and far.
